Accounting in D.C.

Graduate Program in Washington, D.C.
Summer 2025

Program Overview

This Study in America program is designed to offer an immersive learning experience in Washington, D.C. The course—Exploring Accounting Oversight in Washington, D.C.—will bridge classroom theory with real-world experiences, providing a holistic understanding of the regulatory landscape through exploration of the key institutions shaping the accounting profession.

The core of the course will consist of guided visits to key institutions over the course of a week from June 8-14, 2025. During this week, we will visit institutions such as the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB), the Government Accounting Office (GAO), and more. We will also visit with a member of our Texas Congressional Delegation on Capitol Hill and visit the U.S. Capitol Building, White House, Supreme Court, Library of Congress, and more.

Students will also have ample time to explore the many museums, monuments, and cultural activities available in our nation’s capital.
