Program Overview
Be a part of the only education abroad program at Texas State to visit four countries! In this program, you will have the opportunity to learn about communication in the workplace while visiting multiple locations across Europe. Our program will take us to Amsterdam, Netherlands; Berlin, Germany; Zurich, Switzerland; & Turin, Italy.
Learning will take place through interactive classroom discussions/lectures, business site visits, cultural experiences, engaging in walking tours, and other hands-on opportunities. You will come away learning core business skills and building memories that will last a lifetime.
Program Faculty
Dr. Seth Frei has a background in business communication and has taught at Texas State since 2013. He has experience leading and participating in several study abroad programs visiting countries including Portugal, England, Germany, France, Italy, Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, and Belgium.
Dr. Stephanie Dailey has a background in organizational communication and has taught at Texas State since 2014. She participated in a study abroad program in Spain, conducted organizational communication research in Brazil and India, and led study abroad programs in Portugal, Germany, Switzerland, and the Netherlands.

PROGRAM DETAILS
Courses Offered
McCoy College of Business undergraduate students will earn 6 credit hours from these two courses:
- MGT 3353 — Business Communication & Professional Development
- MGT 4386 — Professional Skills for the Global Workplace
Communication Studies undergraduate majors will earn 6 credit hours from these two courses:
- COMM 3335 — Communication and Identity in International Work Cultures
- COMM 3324 — Professional Skills for Global Work
Tentative Dates
- Online Assignments: May 27, 2025 – June 13, 2025
- Departure: June 17, 2025
- First Day of Classes Abroad: June 19, 2025
- Last Day of Classes Abroad: July 5, 2025
- Return From Program: July 6, 2025
Expected Cost
$6,060
Cost is tentative and subject to change.
The program fee includes:
- Application fee ($200)
- Program deposit ($300)
- Tuition (6 hours)
- Lodging and breakfast each morning
- A few lunches and dinners
- Local transportation, inter-city train/flight, and admission for all cultural visits
- Business visits and city walking tours
- International health and emergency insurance
Program fee does not include:
- Flights to / from Europe, personal excursions and expenses, passport application fees, textbooks, or meals
