SAN MARCOS, Texas — CEO Magazine has ranked Texas State University's McCoy College of Business master of business administration (MBA) degree in Tier One of its 2025 Global MBA Rankings.
Tier One is CEO Magazine's highest ranking category for MBA programs. This year marks the second consecutive Tier One Global MBA recognition for McCoy College.
McCoy College offers several MBA program options. The Flex MBA is customizable, allowing students to attend either full-time or part-time, with the ability to change as needs evolve. The program also offers optional concentrations. The Cohort MBA is a full-time program in which students can complete their degree in just 16 months. The college also offers a new Online MBA with concentrations, as well as a new dual-degree program combining the MBA and the master of health administration, or MHA-MBA.
“The quality of our MBA programs continues to improve, thanks to the dedication of our faculty, the enhanced services provided by our staff, and the inquisitive nature of the leaders we are attracting to the program," said Dr. Diego Vacaflores, Associate Dean for Graduate Programs at McCoy College. "This momentum is strengthened by the introduction of our online MBA which offers greater accessibility to our program. Additionally, we look forward to the launch of our new terminal degree in business administration, the online Doctor of Business Administration.”
CEO Magazine's rankings are designed to aid prospective students in evaluating MBA programs in North America and around the world. According to the publication's website, its objective is to identify schools that connect exceptional quality with great return on investment.
"We look beyond the marketing brochures and ad campaigns and examine the nuts and bolts of an MBA: the learning environment, class sizes, tuition fees, faculty, delivery methods, international diversity, gender parity and more," the magazine’s rankings site states.
CEO Magazine uses a ranking system entirely geared and weighted to fact-based criteria, aiming to provide potential students with a performance benchmark for those schools under review.
