Beta Alpha Psi chapter earns Gold Status

SAN MARCOS, Texas — Beta Alpha Psi, the international organization for financial information professionals, has announced that the Kappa Eta chapter at Texas State University's McCoy College of Business has earned Gold Status, recognizing its achievement during the 2023-2024 academic year.

"Under the exceptional leadership of [accounting faculty members] Ludmila Krylova and Alexandra Hampshire, the chapter has earned international recognition as a Gold chapter, an accomplishment that speaks volumes about the dedication and excellence of your department," wrote Dr. Patricia M. Poli, CPA, President of Beta Alpha Psi, in the award statement.

This honor, accompanied by a $500 award, is sponsored by KPMG LLP and the KPMG Foundation. Under the inspiring stewardship of the faculty advisors, Texas State's chapter has far exceeded Beta Alpha Psi’s baseline requirements, excelling in academics, professionalism, and ethical leadership.

"I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the entire Kappa Eta chapter and their leadership team," Poli wrote. "This achievement is a great source of pride for Beta Alpha Psi and undoubtedly reflects the high standards and commitment to excellence that are hallmarks of your school."
