Dr. Jake Waddingham honored twice at 2024 Southern Management Association annual meeting

SAN MARCOS, Texas — Dr. Jake Waddingham, assistant professor of management at Texas State University's McCoy College of Business, was recently recognized with dual honors at the Southern Management Association’s (SMA) Annual Meeting in San Antonio, highlighting his exceptional contributions to the field. 

Dr. Waddingham received the inaugural Early Career Outstanding Service Award, a distinction reserved for one member who has made a notable impact on SMA through their dedication and service. This award recognizes his commitment to advancing the organization’s mission and setting a high standard for early-career contributions.

Additionally, Dr. Waddingham was named one of the Best Overall Reviewers for the SMA conference, a title given to the top nine reviewers from all peer reviews submitted. This recognition speaks to the quality of his academic feedback and his willingness to support the work of other researchers in the field.

These honors celebrate Dr. Waddingham’s accomplishments and reflect the caliber of talent within the Department of Management and the McCoy College of Business.
