McCoy College launches ambitious faculty hiring plan to elevate research prominence

Tremendous growth spurs faculty hiring
SAN MARCOS, Texas — The McCoy College of Business at Texas State University continues its growth in national and global recognition and as a first-choice destination for both new students and new faculty and staff.
This tremendous growth was recently accentuated by the surpassing the recent milestones of more than 5,200 students enrolled for the fall 2024 semester — 4,758 undergraduate business majors and 416 graduate students.
Now the growth extends to hiring faculty, where McCoy College seeks to fill 14 tenure-line positions along with several additional non-tenure-line roles. This marks the college's largest-ever single expansion as part of a plan to enhance research prominence. Several of these positions have already opened for applications.

Numerous other positions will be posting soon, including additional faculty openings in the Department of Finance and Economics, the Department of Management, and the Department of Marketing. McCoy College will also be creating a new endowed chair in marketing.
