Dr. Steven Rayburn appointed Interim Chair, Department of Management

SAN MARCOS, Texas — The McCoy College of Business at Texas State University has announced the appointment of Dr. Steven Rayburn as interim chair of the Department of Management, effective August 1, 2024.
Dr. Rayburn, associate professor in the Department of Marketing, has extensive qualifications and experience to lead the department. He earned a Ph.D. from Oklahoma State University and joined Texas State in 2013. He previously enjoyed a successful career managing front-line employees in service, retail, and sales organizations.
Dr. Rayburn is a respected colleague, an accomplished teacher and scholar, and has made significant contributions to the academic community, including in his current administrative position as director of the Service-Learning Excellence program at Texas State. ✯
