McCoy College’s Flex MBA ranked among nation’s best

SAN MARCOS, Texas — The Flex Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at Texas State University’s McCoy College of Business has been ranked among the best part-time MBA programs in the nation by U.S. News and World Report.
The McCoy College Flex MBA program ranked #115 (tie) overall.
U.S. News and World Report's 2024 Best Graduate Schools rankings are based on six factors: peer assessment from surveys of business school deans and MBA program directors, part-time student ratio, part-time students total, GMAT / GRE scores, students' undergraduate grade-point average (GPA), and students’ work experience.
In addition to the overall list, other McCoy College Flex MBA ranking details include:
- #8 among Texas public universities
- #16 in U.S. among Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs)
McCoy College's Flex MBA also attracts some of the most qualified candidates in terms of their academic background and work experience:
- #1 in Texas and #11 in the U.S. for part-time MBA students' undergraduate GPA
- #2 in Texas for part-time MBA students' average years of work experience

McCoy College’s Flex MBA is a 36-hour program with six optional concentrations, designed for the working professional. The program is customizable, allowing students to attend either full-time or part-time, with the ability to change as their needs evolve. Courses are offered exclusively in the evening during the fall, spring, and summer semesters to accommodate work schedules, available at Texas State's campuses in both San Marcos and Round Rock.
CEO Magazine also ranked McCoy College’s MBA program in Tier One of its 2024 Global MBA Rankings, released March 27, 2024.
McCoy College is accredited by the the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
