David Kallison

David Kallison is the Digital Marketing Strategist at the McCoy College of Business. He is a storyteller at heart and brings that skill to all aspects of his marketing and communications work at Texas State. David is primarily involved in ensuring that as many people as possible know about the robust graduate school offerings at McCoy College.

Previously David has worked in communications for a variety of education nonprofits, from K-12 to higher education, including the University of North Texas Health Science Center, Deans for Impact, KIPP Austin, and Teach For America. In his work he has created hundreds of videos, photographs, tweets, digital ads, lines of web copy, and, occasionally, a hilarious millennial meme or two.

He attended the University of Texas at Austin for his bachelor’s degree and also earned an MFA in screenwriting at Western Colorado University. He wants to make movies of your dreams. David lives with his wife, who earned her doctorate at Texas State in 2019, and his three cats who are, unequivocally, without a doubt, way cuter than yours. ✯
