Karen Carroll, 3M Staff Vice President and General Auditor

Karen Carroll has been with 3M for 28 years. She holds a BBA in Finance, with a minor in Economics from Texas State University. In her current role as Vice President and General Auditor for 3M Company, Carroll heads the assurance audit function as well as the company’s ERM activities. Her 3M experience includes Finance positions in Health Care, Safety and Graphics, Electronics and Energy, Consumer, Industrial Business as well as Corporate Audit. Carroll also spent four years in the Brownwood, Texas plant as plant controller.

In addition to her Finance experience, Carroll is a certified Black Belt and has worked in marketing operations for LCD Films. Her work experiences have taken her across Asia, North America, Latin America, and Europe.

Carroll participates in finance recruiting, Women’s Leadership Network, and Catalyst Leadership Development program.

Georgia M. Sandahl, Finance Recruiting, Onboarding and Internship Manager, 3M

Georgia Sandahl leads the recruiting and functional onboarding for 3M’s Global Finance Organization. In this role, she manages the US Finance internship program. Additionally, she is responsible for leading customized trainings for new Finance employees and developing e-learning and virtual training.

Previously, Sandahl managed the entire internship program for 3M’s US subsidiary which included onboarding and engagement events for 300+ interns. She also developed a student ambassador program with core schools and key functional programs.

Prior to 3M, Sandahl served as the Human Resources Generalist for Cub Foods and worked in a variety of staffing roles for non-profit, technology and financial firms.

Sandahl graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Stout with a BS in Psychology and Human Resources Management.  She is a member of Psi Chi – The International Honors Society in Psychology and received her Senior Professional in Human Resources Certificate from the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) and SHRM - SCP. She resides in Stillwater, Minnesota with her husband and two children.
