Doug Foshee, Director, Marathon Oil Corp.
Douglas L. Foshee, also known as Doug, serves as the Director of Marathon Oil Corp. since April 1, 2018. He serves as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Sallyport Investments, LLC.
Foshee served as the President and Chief Executive Officer at El Paso Corporation from September 2003 to May 2012 and also as its Chairman from May 2009 to May 2012. He served as Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of El Paso CGP Company L.L.C from 2003 to 2012.
Foshee served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Halliburton Company from August 2001 to July 16, 2003. He joined Halliburton Company in 2001 as Chief Financial Officer until July 16, 2003. He served as Chief Operating Officer of Halliburton Energy Services Inc.
Prior to assuming his position at Halliburton, Foshee served as President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Nuevo Energy Company from 1998 to 2000. From 1993 to 1997, he served at Torch Energy Advisors Incorporated in various capacities, including President and Chief Executive Officer.
He currently serves as Chairman of Houston Branch at Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas and Director of Greater Houston Partnership and Houston Endowment. He joined ARCO International Oil prior to 1990 and served in positions of increasing responsibility. He served as an Independent Director at Cameron International Corporation since July 01, 2008 until April 1, 2016. From January 2009 to February 2010, he served as a Trustee of AIG Credit Facility Trust.
In the past, Foshee served as a Director of EP Energy LLC (formerly, El Energy Corporation), Director of El Paso Corp. from September 2003 to May 25, 2012 and El Paso Pipeline GP Company L.L.C, a general partner of El Paso Pipeline Partners L.P from August 2007 to May 25, 2012. He served as Director of El Paso CGP Company L.L.C since September 2003.
Foshee serves on the Board of Trustees of Rice University and as a member of the Council of Overseers for the Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Management. He is a Founder and Director of NextOp Vets. He is a Founder of Houstonians for Great Public Schools. He is an executive board member of KIPP Houston and a board member of Texas Business Hall of Fame Foundation, the Welch Foundation and is a member of various other civic and community organizations.
Foshee earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the Jesse H. Jones School at Rice University in 1992 and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Southwest Texas State University in 1982. He is also a graduate of the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University.
