Brian McCoy is a 1972 graduate of Ball High School in Galveston and a 1975 graduate of Texas Tech University with a BBA in finance. He grew up in his family’s business and has worked in the lumberyard, on the sales floor, as a truck driver, assistant store manager, store manager, merchandise manager, Vice President, Co-President, President, and has served as CEO since 2001. McCoy’s operates 88 stores and 2 manufacturing facilities in 5 states with annual sales exceeding $880 million.
McCoy is a partner in McCoy Remme Ranches, a cow-calf operation with land holdings in far West Texas. He serves on the Executive Committee of the Lumbermen’s Association of Texas and on the board of Intimate Life Ministries, both headquartered in Austin, and is the Chairman of the McCoy College of Business Development Foundation. Brian is married to his high school sweetheart, Wetonnah, and they have two grown children, Reid and his wife, Katherine, and Meagan and her husband, Richard, and four grandchildren.
Meagan McCoy Jones, President and COO, McCoy's Building Supply
Meagan McCoy Jones is a 2000 graduate of San Marcos Baptist Academy in San Marcos and a 2004 of the University of Richmond in Virginia where she was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. She has a Master of Arts in Communication Studies from the University of Texas at Austin. Jones is the fourth generation to work for McCoy’s. Her first job was the Headquarters receptionist…she was 10 years old. Like her father Brian, Jones grew up at McCoy’s and has worked as an advertising intern, salesperson, assistant store manager, director, Vice President of Field Support, and currently serves as President and Chief Operating Officer of McCoy's Building Supply.
Jones is a member of the Board of Directors of McCoy Corporation, a partner in McCoy Remme Ranches, member of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of the Texas Association of Builders, and co-Chair of the Legislative committee of the Lumbermen’s Association of Texas. She is married to Richard Jones, and they have a nine-year-old son,and seven-year-old daughter, Greta.
