Vincent Cordero is a venture investor-entrepreneur and C-suite executive in the U.S. and Latin America across multisector tech, media, and sports. In addition to being passionate about service, human elevation, and empowering founders to catalyze transformative impact, he has a lifelong commitment to education and mentorship.
For the past several years, Vincent has operated, advised, and invested across the space, biotech, AI, healthtech, edtech, and media industries, including investing and co-founding Colossal Biosciences (the world’s first biotech de-extinction company), valued at $1.5 billion in 2023 and named as TIME Magazine’s “100 Most Influential Companies.” He is also partnering and serving as Co-CEO & Chief Business Officer of Mucho Mas Media (a leading U.S. Latino film studio and talent management company), which secured a Series A round in 2023 and produced the movies Blue Miracle (#2 Netflix worldwide, 2021), Black Demon (#1 Amazon Prime Video U.S. and Latin America, 2023) and The Long Game (won SXSW “Audience Award,” screened at the White House, and released nationwide in 1,000+ theatres in April 2024).
Vincent currently serves as a Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Senior Commercialization Advisor and as a Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) Small Business Capital Formation Advisory Committee Member, which are both appointed positions. Additionally, he mentors startups affiliated with the University of Chicago Polsky Center, MIT Climate & Energy Prize, and Capital Factory. He dedicates time to enhancing education through service as a UCLA Dean Advisory Board Member and as an Advisory Board Member for the Hispanic Scholarship Fund.
Previously, Vincent served as the COO of HBO Latin America, leading the #1 international premium TV conglomerate with $1 billion in annual revenue. He has also served as the EVP & GM of FOX Sports (built #1 U.S. Spanish language sports network with almost $100 million in annual revenue), the VP & GM of Univision Chicago (built #1 news station in Chicago with almost $50 million in annual revenue), and VP Business Development & Labor Affairs at Univision (served 40 owned & operating TV stations nationwide).
Vincent is a graduate of the University of Chicago Law School and UCLA (magna cum laude) with a triple major in philosophy, political science, and Chicano studies.
