John Schawe

John Schawe is the market president for Frost Bank in San Marcos. He also serves on the Austin regional management team overseeing Frost’s commercial real estate and commercial lending teams.

Schawe joined Frost over 22 years ago and has held various positions in the bank’s commercial lending group as a credit analyst, a commercial relationship manager where he originated and serviced a large portfolio of commercial and commercial real estate relationships, and later transitioned to a management role. A graduate of Texas State University, Schawe earned a bachelor of business administration degree with a major in finance. He is a native of San Marcos, an SMCISD graduate, and to this day still resides in Hays County with his family.

Schawe gives back to his community through volunteering and serving in leadership roles in many organizations including: The Greater San Marcos Partnership (current board member and executive officer, past Chair, secretary and treasurer), McCoy College of Business at Texas State University (board member), Christus Santa Rosa-San Marcos Foundation (board member), and The Scheib Opportunity Center (past board member). He is also a leader in his local church where he and his family actively attend. ✯
