The banking program at the McCoy College of Business features foundational business knowledge and experiential curriculum designed specifically for a career in commercial banking.

Overview

The inaugural semester of the McCoy College of Business Center for Banking and Financial Services featured four brand new courses, over 60 students, and seven bank sponsors. The program offers important insights into the commercial banking industry including resources and insights. The hands-on courses ensure students are well prepared for a career in banking.

The curriculum also includes various connections to the industry including guest lecturers, industry field trips, internship opportunities, and input from a FinTech partner (an Austin-based, global digital transformation solutions firm). 

The program will leverage partnerships with regional banking leaders to be engaged in every aspect of student learning — recruitment, admission, instruction, engagement, internship, and placement.
