June 15 – June 24

McCoy College of Business alumni are invited to join our June 2023 Alumni Abroad trip to Morocco and Portugal. Designed for alumni who value lifelong learning, unique cultural experiences, exceptional cuisine, and networking with fellow Bobcats, this program will connect participants with business and cultural opportunities in both Marrakech and Lisbon. Alumni will also enjoy opportunities to network with current McCoy College students who are studying abroad in the region. The trip departs for Marrakech on Thursday, June 15, and returns from Lisbon on Saturday, June 24.

All alumni and friends of the McCoy College (ages 21+) are welcome to participate, but space is limited, so register soon to secure your spot. Travelers will make trip arrangements and payments directly with Worldstrides, the nation’s largest educational travel company, which is coordinating our trip and which sets its own cancellation and refund policies. Sanjay Ramchander

Dr. Sanjay Ramchander

Dean, McCoy College of Business

Dr. Ramchander is a professor of finance and holds the Darren Casey Endowed Professorship in Business. He leads the McCoy College in its student-centered approach to preparing graduates for successful business careers. He sees the college as a diverse, vibrant, and dynamic community devoted to the idea that business makes a world of difference. 

Dr. Ramchander was raised in Hyderabad, India. He earned a Bachelor of Commerce from Nizam College at Osmania University, an M.B.A. from Saint Louis University, and a D.B.A. in finance from Cleveland State University. 


Alexis Stokes

Dr. Alexis Stokes

Associate Dean, Faculty and Research

Dr. Alexis Stokes manages McCoy College faculty development and policies, research initiatives, global engagement, and diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts. In her role as Academic Program Director for Graduate Programs Education Abroad, she has led successful trips to Chile, Peru, Estonia, Finland, and Ireland.

Dr. Stokes earned her Bachelor of Arts in Economics, Political Science, and Managerial Studies from Rice University and her Juris Doctorate from Harvard Law School, where she served as president and editor-in-chief of the Harvard Journal on Legislation.

Alumni Abroad Packaged Price

$2,935 per person *

* Prices are per person, double occupancy, and do not include international airfare; for single travelers who do not opt for a roommate, a single supplement will apply.

Includes components detailed throughout your customized itinerary, such as the following: 

  • 3 curated business visits
  • 4-5 star double-occupancy accommodations, several meals, ground transportation, multi-lingual guides, and cultural excursions
  • Intra-airfare from Marrakech to Lisbon (quote only — subject to change until booked)
  • Worldstrides' risk management and insurance

Participant optional add-ons (not included): 

  • $279 per person — Higher Education Travel Protection Plan
    • Includes CFAR waiver benefit until 3 days prior to departure date 
  • $970 per participant — Single occupancy upgrade throughout the program
  • $28 per participant — Evening Culinary Tour in Lisbon
  • $53 per participant — Individual private airport departure transfer in Lisbon

Please note, due to the uncertainty of the ongoing pandemic, this program may be subject to additional expenses to meet new required government policies and procedures. WorldStrides will make best efforts to communicate new rules and policies as soon as we learn in order to share the impact on the program.
